This is a video which explains how to optimize VOIP data in long distance WAN Links.
The VOIP Data could be:
Asterisk VOIP Server to VOIP phones/clients (soft voip-phones and hard voip-phones)
Google Hangouts (or Gtalk) - voip alone, and voip-video chat
Skype - voip alone, and voip-video chat
A sales representative from Akamai was making a pitch to one of our IT directors about how their Content Delivery Network could improve our conversion 5-10% by speeding up the delivery of our content. To justify their costs, we'd like to devise a low-expense test. Does anyone have experience engaging in a test like this?
ReplyDeleteIdeally, we would like to do an internal A/B Test, but this option seems complicated. We want to avoid: implementing it for a given time period and comparing it to the same date range last year, the week before/after, etc. (too many uncontrolled variables)
Does anybody have any idea on setting up a tighter test? Or how to make the A/B Test? Akamai can apparently cache the “static” parts so I was trying to figure out a way to direct traffic through their server 50% of the time. Anyone have experience in conversion testing with the effects of using something like Akamai?

A local area network (LAN) exists in a house or a university campus, while a wide area network (WAN) exists over many office buildings separated by a vast distance. The office buildings in a WAN may be in different countries or even continents. For example, the headquarters building may be in the USA, the regional office building may be in the UK, and the branch office building may be in India. The workers in the three buildings use WAN to collaborate with each other. The Internet can also be considered as a WAN. Let's take a look at the LAN vs. WAN comparison check.
